This? Will be sweet
When Bret was playing “Max Payne,” I spent hours sitting on the bed just watching. I don’t have fast enough reflexes to play FPS games, but it mesmerized me nonetheless.
Now they’ve made a movie of it. CAN’T WAIT.

I actually just re-installed Max Payne so I could play it again after seeing the previews. I can’t see them doing it justice, though, even with Mark Wahlberg as a perfect Max Payne.

We will watch anything with Marky Mark! I am not sure on the story behind that game, but the preview looks cool.

Avitable: I know they can’t put the entire game in the movie, but I hope it’s done well.
Kim: The basic premise is actually similar to The Punisher. He’s a cop, the bad guys kill his wife and child, and he seeks revenge. But much darker. The game has a film noir feel to it that I just loved.

I loved the noirness (???) of the Max Payne movie with its story board cut scenes. I am a huge fan of The Punisher but after playing the PC Demo I didn’t think it worthy of buying the full game. I did buy the Thomas Jane “Punisher” movie though. It was a little hokey but I liked it :)
I didn’t like the Max Payne 2 game as much as the original. If the producers of the movie can stay true to the spirit of the original Max Payne game I think they’ll have a winner.

Er…my above comment…that first sentence…it should obviously read “Max Payne game”, not Max Payne movie. Heh heh :)

Capn John: Noirness is totally a word. Don’t you be bad-mouthing The Punisher (movie) here, it’s a favorite of mine! John Travolta’s role in that is one of my Top 10 favorite bad guys. And by the way, welcome!
