Listaholic: Ten things I learned this week

Sherried Tomato Soup

  1. Making soup from scratch is not nearly as difficult as I thought ? and is definitely worth the trouble.
  2. Do not subscribe to Avitable’s comments unless you’re prepared to come home to 187 emails about butt-crack hair, masturbation and religious figures on biscuits.
  3. Sometimes it has to be enough to just be clean, neat and on time.
  4. Gamer’s thumb is unbelievably painful.
  5. “Ghost Hunters” is sneakily addictive ? even when you think it’s all a load of twaddle.
  6. It is possible to feel both hot and cold at the same time.
  7. I haven’t made much progress in building self-confidence.
  8. There is no brand of panties within my price range that fits me comfortably. (Anybody have a recommendation?)
  9. My novel-in-progress is not nearly as good as I used to think it was.
  10. More women enjoy viewing porn than you would imagine.

And how was your week, dear readers?

Underwear… ack! I was really pleasantly surprise by the Old Navy undies. (I prefer cotton.) La Senza (think Victoria Secret) has really good thongs.

    Overall pretty good week.

I learned that lesson about Avitable’s comments the hard way too. Now I just stalk him by going back to the site once or twice a day.

I love making soup from scratch!

I never subscribe to any comment feeds because it is overwhelming to my in box.

And yes to the porn comment. ;)

    Only 187? Must’ve been a slow week.

You can read baout my wek tomorrow. : )

  6. Avitable Says:

You know, if you use Gmail, all of the comments are condensed into one thread that makes it very easy to maintain.

I love Ghost Hunters. The fact that they’re very scientific and very skeptical unless they can’t explain it makes me much more receptive to what they find. New episodes start next Wednesday!

Nat: Thanks for the tip about Old Navy! Thongs, however, are not my thing. Too much like butt flossing.

Hilly: That’s what I’m doing now.

Sizzle: Believe me, I won’t be subscribing again! At least, not on the high-traffic sites. You’d be safe subscribing here. :D

Kevin: No, hon, that was ONE DAY.

    John: I shall do that!

Avitable: Scientific and skeptical? Guess I haven’t seen those episodes yet. But don’t get me wrong - I have no doubt that spirits are among us.

  8. Aunt Robin Says:

I’m hooked on Ghost Hunters as well. I also enjoy the “International” version.

I find “Most Haunted” totally hokey, yet I keep coming back for the laughs.

Avitable’s comments sure can overwhelm a mail box! It’s humbling.

  9. Mr. Fabulous Says:

    Why wear underwear at all?

And I too, love to make soup from scratch. And by that I mean I mostly order it in a restaurant.

Mmmm, homemade soup is wonderful :) Mike made me homemade chicken noodle on Friday because I was sick….it was delicious.

I’m not sure I can advise you on the underwear issue - I get all of mine from the local plus sized store, but soon I will be on the search for a new location - even the smallest size at my usual store is getting to be too big!

I never subscribe to comments. Just way too overwhelming. I pretty much just read what’s there, leave a comment, and don’t come back until another post.

    Hi SJ,
I’m on your blog because it’s the only way to contact you. Your picture “Kitty Kiss” showing Lynksis and Data shocked me. I couldn’t figure out how my cats got on your website.!(?) Or who snuck into my house to get a picture of them. I have cats identical to them, and they create that same image (one licking the other’s face) almost daily in my house.
I just got kinda freaked out at the rather intense degree of similarity between your cats and mine, and their pose. My cats are Kiwi (the long hair, female, part Maine Coon), and Dylan (the orange and white short hair). Cheers and keep bloggin’.
