I wanna be committed, insanity permitted
It’s not that I’m a glutton for punishment. It’s that I never give up hope.
Despite my glorious failure at NaBloPoMo last month, I have decided to participate in Holidailies 2007. Last year on The Write Coast, my 31 December posts wrapped up three consecutive months of daily posts (31 Days Of Halloween, NaBloPoMo and Holidailies ‘06). I discovered some good reads during Holidailies ‘06 and made a couple of new friends, Muse and Lisa. Both Muse and Juli have encouraged me to give it a go again this year, and today I saw that my girls Suze and Bec have signed up. So, okay, I’m in!
And since I’m in the commitment mood, I took on another biggie, starting today. I joined the Flickr photo group This Is Today!, which requires members to post one photo per day to the pool, for 365 straight days. The photos must be taken on that day, and should represent something about your day. It’s not a self-portraits group like 365 Days, which I just could not do. I hate 90% of all pictures of myself ? the last thing I want to do is add them to an international photo pool! But this group, which I discovered via Belinda’s photostream, encourages pictures of other things, not just yourself. That concept has much more appeal for me.
So this should be quite a creative month for me, and I hope you’ll all come along for the ride! The holiday decorations are set to go up on Pseudotherapy this weekend, too. I’d planned to unveil them today, but last night I had a choice of working on this website or getting laid.
Has anybody noticed what a great mood I’m in today?

Rockin’!!!
Chip (one of the organizers) made an interesting post on his blog - that Holidailies’ original tag line was “the gift of our prose”, and how it’s supposed to be a gift to our readers and ourselves rather than a marathon to post every single day. That’s what I like best about your site - reading what you write, whether it’s a whinge, or a funny, or a poigniant, or a silly. Even though you don’t update every day, I look forward to your updates. You write well. You write real.
And that’s excellent stuff.

Thank you for the invite to “This is Today!”, I decided to give it a try myself. This could be very interesting, but then again, maybe not.

I’d pick gettin’ laid over bloggy designs anytime.

And yay for good moods.

So what you’re telling us is it’s all Bret’s fault that you’re taking on all these crazy challenges!? LOL I couldn’t do it this year, but I’ll be following those wo are.

Yay! Another crazy person - this is my first month doing any kind of challenge so I have hope in my heart that it all goes well! And, yep, I agree - laid over design anytime (hence the reason why I have so many redesigns!)

I can’t wait to see all the photography - I love your photos SJ
Will we see a lot of the kitties?

Muse: WOW. That’s some serious complimentage. Thank you so very much!
Diana: Just remember, quite often what you post is much more interesting to other people simply because it’s uniquely yours.
Suze: I’d pick gettin’ laid over just about anything, except maybe a spa pedicure …
Lisa: I’ve found it’s easiest to just blame Bret for everything. That way nothing’s ever *my* fault.
Bec: So, the redesigns are a compensation thing?
Kim: Ummm, what do you think???

Hey, Hon, I was happy to see your reply to Suze. We’re scheduled for 11:30 on the 8th. And did you decide on bread puddin’ or banana?
December 3rd, 2007 at 3:29 pm
Well, not so much compensation as distraction!

Sheryl: I. CAN’T. WAIT. You have no idea. And … banana pudding, please. I’m still shuddering about spewing the bread pudding from CJ’s. Good God, cinnamon is VILE coming back up.
Bec: Yeah, I was gonna say good luck with that.
