Am wincing in horror at this. I can bear it when Mum injects her insulin because it’s from a brightly coloured epi-pen but that’s like a real proper needle needle. Ow ow ow ow ow…

Just found this at Slashdot - it’s about a replacement for needles! Hurrah!

I’ve never had trouble with “shots”, except the ones that hurt like hell! I used to give my son and myself allergy shots every week. The poor child had to endure 3 per week. They helped, but OMG, such a battle and he still doesn’t forgive me for it. I know I was doing the right thing, but still…!

Uhhh… probably as hard as it is for me to look at it. After my years of allergy shots, I’m afraid of needles. :-(

Hooray! You finally got it. Needles don’t bother me AT ALL… except for when they are taking blood. Then we have a problem.

No big whoop. I got mine last week (first one in my life… my doc surprised me…)
However, if I get sick on my birthday, somebody dies.

Bec: That skin patch sounds like a godsend for people like my hubby and Dave2.
Diana: It’s like putting medicine on an open wound - you know you’re helping them, but it still makes you feel terrible.
Sheryl: Very well-put!
ajooja: Yes. Yes, it was.
Dave2: Bret doesn’t even have an excuse. I think he was born afraid of needles.
Juli: I know, and I remember all too well what made you that way [shudder].
L.A. Daddy: Silly boy! You don’t get sick from flu shots!
