Hell on the horizon

This photo hit me harder than any other one I’ve seen from our recent firestorm. It shows just how HUGE the fires were, and this wasn’t even the biggest one!

Sent to me by a co-worker, it was taken by a guy who’s an Inspector with the Fire Department at Miramar Air Station in San Diego. He took it from Harbor Island, looking eastward across the bay. I wish I knew his name.

A return of the Santa Ana winds is forecast for this weekend.

    that picture is so scary. i agree, of the firestorm photos i’ve seen - this one is the most haunting.
