Ten Things I’m Looking Forward To
- The temperature in this apartment dropping below 75 degrees (it’s 86 in here right now, even with two fans going).
- A rainstorm. ANY rainstorm.
- Taking another lukewarm shower ? in about ten minutes.
- Not having to cook tonight. You can’t beat cold beer (for Bret, iced tea for me) and delivered pizza on a hot night.
- Midnight. All the windows wide open. Box fan in the window, pointed straight at the bed. The Endless Summer on TV. Ice cubes on bare skin …
- Going back to work Monday, with the lovely office A/C.
- Coming home Monday to a repaired air-conditioner going full blast.
- Late October, when the days turn crisp and the nights are downright chilly.
- Going to see Rob Zombie’s Halloween in two weeks. Theaters are always so blissfully cool.
- The real, actual Halloween, which kicks off my favorite time of the year!

I’m getting the hint you’re a bit too hot …

That’s it EXACTLY. Now that the sun’s gone down, it’s cooled off dramatically, but today was miserable.

Am seriously crying now. I would kill KILL for 10 minutes of blazing hot sun (and not the weak ass nonsense dribbling through the kinda parted clouds that we’ve been getting here) and a day with no rain. Just one day. Preferably today…

Bec, say the word and I’ll trade places with you for 24 hours!

Not sure where you are, but we’re having a heat wave in So Cal too. Can’t wait for the weather to cool down.
I noticed that you’re a bit of a Rob Zombie fan (or Halloween), in any case, we in CinNews of KSPR-Perspective Radio, consider us a startup movie talkshow company, got lucky and landed an interview with Rob Zombie on 8/21 for a podcast. We’re fielding questions from fans so that we may ask him a select few questions. You can see the details at my website link.

Reagu: Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll check it out. By the way, I’m in Oceanside, CA (San Diego County).
Bec: I’m working on it!!! I wish … :(
