Tuesday crap-out

Crap! Crap Crap CRAP! I lost my list.

See, I’ve been taking lessons on blog improvement (oh, shut UP) and keeping notes on the ideas that appealed to me. Because, you know, it’s my blog and I don’t care how much I wish I had 1500 regular readers, I’m not doing anything on here *I* don’t like. One of the suggestions I thought sounded kinda cool was having a specific thing you do each day. That appeals to the OCD organizoid in me. Order rules. Well, not in my house, but whatever.

Anyway, I used to do Sunday Meme on The Write Coast, but had never taken the daily concept any further than that. I thought I’d try it for a week or so and see if it was too constraining. So I made a list of what I was going to do each day of the week, and I kicked it off sans fanfare on Saturday.

Last night I lost my list. And I can’t remember what I was going to do, damn it! God, it sucks having short-term memory retention with the reliability of a sieve. I can remember the lyrics to every song I’ve ever learned, and my phone number from 1985, and the birthdays of all the members of Def Leppard. But I can’t remember a list I just lost yesterday. It so pisses me off! Too bad I didn’t lose it in China. Then I could count on it being recalled.

Totally Unrelated Aside:* Did any of you see Van Halen on the news today, announcing their reunion tour? Were you as astounded as I was at how healthy Eddie looked? Almost like a different person! Diamond Dave looked pretty good, too, considering. And how cute is Wolfgang ? such a mix of Mom and Dad!

*Kevin, I owe you another royalty fee. It was a flat $100, wasn’t it?

Random… I remember our phone number from 1985, too. hehe.

And yes, I did see the VH news - totally going!

I wish I would have seen a healthy looking Eddie…the last time I saw him, I wondered if Skeletor had invaded his body and sucked the everything out of him!

Plus tax and residuals from additional page loads.

I hope you find your list because that sounds like an interesting idea! I tried that a bit too - following a structure on my blog. I figured it would encourage me to blog more if I had something to follow. So now I do “Friday Questions.” Maybe I should add “Sunday Morning Sex Talk”? HA HA

I wish I would have seen a healthy Eddie too. Those guys deserve to see what they can really do.

Of course, the fans do too. :)

I’m the same way, I can remember all kinds of weird shit that nobody really cares about, but can I find my lists? NO! I had to go list-free to the grocery today, OMG! I forgot the CHICKEN I needed for a chicken salad I made tonight. I had to turn around and walk back. I hate when that happens! I’m very happy to hear that Eddie is lookin’ good.

My memory just sucks. If I don’t write things down I’ll totally lose it.

Wait, what was I talking about?

    Juli: I figured you would!

Hilly: Alex looked that way this time, but Eddie looked awesome. And Wolfgang (his son) is a cute chunky monkey!

Kevin: I’d better think about a second job … :(

Kim: “Sunday Morning Sex Talk” when so many family members read your blog?!?! Uhhh, I don’t think so.

ajooja: This tour may be their chance. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes.

Diana: How cute are you in your Bad Monkey shirt!!! I can top your chicken story: I once made Tuna Helper, and couldn’t figure out why it tasted so flat. Then I realized I’d forgotten to add the TUNA.

Karl: Were you talking? And excuse me, who are you again? ;)
