Saturday Snapshot: Naked
A month or so ago, there was a short-lived and not terribly widespread meme consisting of posting an unaltered self-portrait taken first thing in the morning. Although deeply envious of those bloggers who had the guts to do it, I wasn’t at a point on my self-esteem roller coaster which would allow such exposure. Now I am. I took this photo two days ago. I hadn’t planned to take it, which is why my hair is combed, but as you can tell by the mascara smears under my eyes, smoothing my hair is all I had done. So here, beyond fashionably late, is my unwashed and naked morning face. And you know what? I’m not so bad for an old broad.

Thank you both very much for the support! And I guarantee the post is STAYING up.
I don’t often go to bed naked, but oddly enough, I sometimes wake up that way. ;) In the afterglow finding my nightie is too much trouble. However, this picture was actually taken sitting in my computer chair in front of our dark purple wall. It was pre-shower, so I was still au naturel.
